VEC Supply Expands Into The Greensboro –Winston/Salem Markets

Charlottesville, March 10, 2014

VEC,LLC   a distributor of datacom & security supplies,  today announced they will be opening a new full-service branch in Kernersville, NC on April 1st.

Located at 1570A Brookford Industrial Drive, the branch will serve the Greensboro and Winston Salem metropolitan areas and will be under the leadership of Branch Manager, Joey Manno.

The branch will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  As is the case with all VEC branch locations, the branch will also have after-hours emergency service available. The branch telephone number is 336-904-0581.  A grand opening celebration will be held in June.

Virginia Electronic Components (VEC, LLC) acquires Morris Automation Group

Frank Stalzer appointed President of VEC Supply

VEC Supply, a leading distributor of electronic components and services, serving the voice and data, telecom, security, access control, factory automation and OEM markets, today announced the appointment of Frank Stalzer to the position of President, effective January 1, 2012.  VEC’s current President,  Ed Stalzer,  a second cousin to Frank, will remain with the company through the end of 2011 and help insure a smooth transition.  Thereafter, he will carry the title of President Emeritus, and will serve in an advisory capacity through 2012.

Frank Stalzer comes to VEC with over 30 years of distribution experience in the electronics industry and has held executive level positions at  Arrow Electronics, Richey Electronics and Peerless Electronics. Most recently, Mr. Stalzer was President & CEO of Astrex Electronics, a distributor of electronic interconnect products serving the industrial and military market places.   A native of Long Island, NY, Mr. Stalzer has recently relocated with his family to Charlottesville, Va to assume this new role.  A 1980 graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree, Stalzer also attended the Harvard Business School’s  General Management Program in 2001.
